The Parish of St Lukes is part of the Tunbridge Wells Deanery, within the Archdeaconry of Tonbridge and the Diocese of Rochester. The St Lukes parish lies about 1.5 miles to the north of the town centre of Tunbridge Wells, which is located on the Kent/Sussex border.
We are a lively growing church, middle of the road in tradition. We seek to be a warm, friendly and open community welcoming to all especially newcomers, and those coming to us for baptisms, weddings and funerals. We provide a range of worship in keeping with the central traditions of the Church of England. We hold the Eucharist at the heart of our faith and worship, offering a service of Holy Communion every week, either at 8am or 6.30pm when it does not form our main service of Parish Communion at 10.00am. We regularly hold courses for those enquiring about the Christian faith and midweek homegroups for those who seek to deepen their faith through Bible study and fellowship
Those joining us coming from other traditions and understandings find they are respected and valued as we seek together to grow in faith and understanding. Our mission statement can be summed up by these words of welcome as you enter the church
‘ May you find here
peace to pray
joy to share
and love to pass on’
